Sudoku Variants Series (134) - Little Grey Cell Killer Sudoku

Little Grey Cell Killer Sudoku

Solve online in F-Puzzles (thx bbutrosghali!)

Lösungscode: Zeile 4, gefolgt von Spalte 4.

@Circleconstant: yes, that's another way of saying this. Actually the instruction might be even better referring to renban groups. I simply took over the instructions from the German Sudoku Championship...
I am happy to see that you were able to solve the puzzle now!

@Richard: So in other words, if a marked diagonal has more than two grey cells then all of those grey cells alongside that marked diagonal form a (possibly disconnected) renban region which must contain either a 1 or a 9. Got it!

@Circlestant314: It refers to the highest or the lowest theoretical sum. Given the fact that digits in grey cells on the same diagonal may not repeat.
So the long diagonal top right to bottom left contains 7 grey cells. Those cells contain either the series 1-7 (lowest) or the series 3-9 (highest), without repetition.
This is regardless of the digits in R4C6 and R6C4. They don't play any role.
Hope this clarifies the rules enough.
Goodluck!

What does "highest possible sum" and "lowest possible sum" mean, here? Does it refer to the maximum or minimum sums given the digits in the grid, or does it refer to the theoretical maximum or minimum?

EDIT: Additionally, if there are two or more disjoint groups of grey cells alongside a drawn diagonal, is it so that the non-repeating property applies to all of these cells within each group or alongside the whole drawn diagonal? For example, the leading diagonal from R1C1 to R9C9 has one group of grey cells in box 1, and one group of grey cells in boxes 5 and 9. Does this mean that, say, R5C5 can be the same digit as R2C2 since the grey cells are disconnected alongside the diagonal, or is it the case that R5C5 cannot be the same digit as R2C2?

@Eisbär: Yep, but in the list it's close to three. ;-)

Hi Richard. Nice idea. This one is a different kind of renban sudoku, where renban groups are seperated along diagonals. Thanks :)

There is a typo in the puzzle. R5C6 must be a 4 instead of a 7. The rest of the puzzle is correct. I will upload a new image tonight. Sorry for all inconveniences...

I have created and tested it already weeks ago, so it isn't top of mind at the moment. I am not able to check the puzzle until the beginning of the evening, but I will do so as soon as possible.

@zuzanina: Es ist kein Diagonal-Sudoku...

am 21. Juni 2016, 06:11 Uhr von Richard
@zuzanina: There is nothing written in the instructions about white cells on diagonals. They may contain any digit.

Was verstehe ich falsch?
