A Gift Lined Up
(Published on 3. November 2026, 16:25 by The Pi Guy)
This puzzle was made for Timotab’s birthday and featured in his birthday puzzle series on YouTube (it’s a great series so do check it out). The puzzle has a few rules but hopefully you’ll agree that the result is worth it. Enjoy. :)
Sudoku: Put the digits 1 to 9 once each into every row, column & 3 by 3 box.
LINE TYPES
• German Whispers: Each pair of cells along a green line (thin) must contain digits that are at least 5 apart (e.g. 3-9-4).
• Parity: Each pair of cells along a red line (dashed) must contain an odd and an even digit.
• Region Sum: The blue line (normal) is split into sections by the 3 by 3 boxes. All sections on the line must have the same sum (to clarify, the 2 sections in box 9 are different).
• Renbans: The digits on the purple line (hollow) must form a consecutive set of digits in some order, with no repeats (e.g. 1-2-3-4-5-7-6).
Numbered Rooms: The cell next to each digit outside the grid (in its row or column) tells you which cell in the row or column from the direction of the clue contains that digit (e.g. if row 9 col 9 was a 2, the 4 would go in cell 2 looking from the right i.e. row 9 col 8).
