It cannot be solved without either Kings rule or assume negative constraint on Vs. Florian's Colorado puzzles sometimes use the negative constraint. I assume those that solved without it used the conflict checker and didn't realize it. Excellent puzzle all around.

Definitely used the antiking rule to color the puzzle with the 2/3 and 7/8 pairs, though I don't know that it was strictly necessary. Took me an embarrassingly long time to see the disambiguation between them.

sudokupad marked a 7 pencilmark in box 5 as incorrect and i didnt realize until reading the comments that there was a kings move rule which was responsible (oops) because i was filling everything quickly and not paying attention. im assuming the same happened to those saying they didnt need it because i "didnt need" it either? i loved the puzzle regardless :D

I have discovered the anti-king rule while reading comments after solving :-) If you have just a few minutes. This is it!

Beautiful puzzle, I love a good reason to colour! Great to hear someone singing in my head so early on, too.
I didn't use the antiking either, because the final pairs were resolved by the sum/whisper relation.

An easy, but very enjoyable puzzle. As others have said, I only needed the king's move to disambiguate the 7/8 pairs right at the end.

Perfect puzzle to start the day with a coffee.

@SanFranSam
I forgot about the Anti-King rule until I saw your comment. Didn´t need it too.

I don't think i used the anti-king move. Was it a Macguffin?
