Sudoku Isn't That Scary

Play on

Sudokubank

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Dynamic Fog of War: The grid is partially covered in fog. Placing correct digits will clear the fog from that cell and may clear the fog from other cells in the grid. Guessing is not required.
  • Ten Sum Lines: Each thin dark gray line divides into one or more contiguous groups of cells that sum to 10. Each cell belongs to exactly one group. Groups do not overlap
  • Ratio Kropki: When two digits are separated by a black dot, one is double the other.
  • Thermometer: Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase as they move away from the bulb.
  • V: Digits separated by a V sum to 5.
  • Dutch Whispers Lines: Digits on an orange line must differ by at least 4
  • German Whispers Lines: Digits on a green whisper line must differ by at least 5

There is a great and growing collection of puzzles, setters and solvers on Sudokubank. Hope to see you there.

Perhaps we should stop ranting about the publishing choice Nemefish has made?
A discussion about what sudokubank should or shouldn't be might be of interest, but let's do that somewhere on a forum (lmd or someplace else).

This was a very nice puzzle, thanks for setting!

Alas, solution code is indeed not working.

-- Hopefully fixed now. New to posting

Why the sudden push away from SudokuPad? Bank is way more annoying to use.

-- Personally, I think both platforms are great as a solver.

As a solver, the search options and the replay options are the reasons I currently prefer Sudokubank.

As a setter, the Sudokubank design tool is extremely user-friendly. The solving tool is excellent and the publishing process is smoothly integrated in one tool. If you have ever been curious to try setting puzzles, I encourage you to give it a shot.

It's fine if it's not for you. I will be porting some of my favorite designs to Sudokupad, but I have not yet learned how to use fog on the other tools and wanted to get this out while the Halloween theme is still relevant.

Your fog puzzles look really interesting, but SudokuBank isn't for me. If you make them on SudokuPad, I would like to try them out.

-- I will be posting other puzzles here on both platforms. As a solver, I really like the ability on Sudokubank to see other user's recorded solves. It helps me improve as a solver to see the techniques of some of the best.
