Thermometer: digits increase, starting from the bulb.
Black dots link digits which have a ratio of 1:2. White dots link cells which contain consecutive digits. Not all possible dots are given.

If you don't like the color, you can remove it in Sudokupad (settings -> hide colours).

Sorry but i totally agree with Decapod : it took me 15 minutes and a 1-star puzzle always takes me less than 10 minutes !

You are most welcome to rate it as 2- or 3-star puzzle. As a setter, I don't have any influence on the difficulty rating by the solvers ;-)

Solved after 40 minutes? I don't know if I missed something easy, but this did NOT feel like a 1-star puzzle by any stretch of the definition. Still enjoyable, however.

I think this is on the higher end of 1* until you have the break-in. Beautiful puzzle!
