Dotted Butterfly/Gepunkteter Schmetterling

(Published on 13. October 2026, 10:18 by Babsi132)

Hey everyone! I made a couple of puzzles for a friend’s birthday and I thought I’d share them for further feedback. I built this as a fun entry to parity.

Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once in every row, column and 3x3 box.
Parity: Along the red line, digits alternate between even/odd. German Whisper: Along the green line, neighboring digits must differ by at least 5.
Renban: The magenta line contains a set of consecutive digits in any order.
Thermometer: The digits on the grey line grow strictly grow from the bulb up (or down in this case).
Kropki: The white dots are between consecutive digits. Cells joined by a black dot house two digits, one of which is double the other. Not all dots are given.

Have fun solving on Sudokupad!

Colouring was a bit tricky but doable. I have seen sudoku with a more rules than this. So in the end i liked it.

Feedback as requested: Apart from the fact that there are a lot of rules to consider, limiting the effectiveness of a colouring approach to solve (I shaded for parity which seemed to be the way to go), I found it pretty easy, 1* for difficulty.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I highly agree with the (over)load of rules. Particularly the other lines, that entered mainly based on my desire to make a somewhat colourful butterfly, but also because I hoped it might help those, that are more familiar with the other rules to deduce the ideas of parity from there. Might rework that for easier colouring.

If any fellow constructor could help me figuring out how to add hints to the puzzle (or help me finding an explanation), please let me know!

An alle hier, die auch Puzzles bauen: Falls mir wer erklären könnte, wie man Hinweise in das Puzzle einbaut (oder mir sagt, wo ich eine Erklärung finde), wäre ich unendlich dankbar!
