Not Juzter Fillomino
(Published on 4. October 2026, 22:00 by The Pi Guy)
This puzzle was set for the Setting Saturdays ‘Juzter lines’ prompt (to provide some context, Juzter lines were invented by the setter Lake as a play on the phrase ‘just a line’) and was inspired by The Pedalling Pianist’s fantastic ‘Fortress Fillomino Friday’ series. Hope people enjoy it. :)
RULES
Fortress Fillomino: Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions and fill each cell with a number (could be more than one digit) showing the number of cells in the region to which it belongs. Each region must be either strictly larger or strictly smaller than all of its orthogonal neighbours.
Juzter lines: Each brown line is just a line. A maximum of one cell in each fillomino can be on a Juzter line e.g. row 2 column 2 & row 4 column 2 are both on a line, so they must be in different fillominoes.
