Normal Sudoku rules apply.
The clues outside the grid are equal to the sum of the numbers located between 1 and 9 in that row or column. Every 5 in the grid must have a 1 directly above it or a 9 directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.

Very involved opening sequence and a rewarding solve overall, great use of the DFM theme throughout the solve!

Lovely. Break in really involved putting together a bunch of clues plus flatmates, not sure if I found the intended way but it worked!
