This puzzle was made for Secret Impostor 2026 (see below) and mimics the style of the great Myxo. It is based on Regional Yajilin Sudoku. According to testers (thanks everyone) it should be 4 stars. Hope you enjoy!
Secret Impostor is an annual setting competition which is organized by Scojo and Hatgurl. In week 1, participants set a puzzle in their own style. In week 2 each one gets randomly assigned to another participant to imitate. After the 2 weeks, every participant has 2 puzzles with their name on it, but one is fake! The puzzle pairs are solved back to back and twitch chat gets to vote which puzzle is the real one.
This year, we had 52 participants (and 104 puzzles) including The Book Wyrm, ViKingPrime, Marty Sears, Juggler, Agent and many more well known names from the setter community. Shoutout to the testing volunteers NEWS, SudokuHero and CalvinBall which spent an insane amount of time testing so many puzzles in just 2 weeks! And of course another shoutout to Scojo for the marathon solves!
You can find more puzzles from this event (and previous years) via this search.
Solution code: Digits in shaded cells in column 9, top to bottom.

Magical. Solving this felt like like dancing with an excellent partner — doesn’t matter if you’ve never practiced the steps, they make you look like you know what you’re doing anyway.
