Summit Yin Yang

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Yin Yang: Shade some cells so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected, all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected, and no 2x2 cluster of cells is entirely shaded or unshaded.
Secret Summit: Digits within shaded cells must be ascending or descending as they move orthogonally through the grid, with 1 and 9 reversing the ascension/descension. All possible orthogonally connected sequences of shaded cells must obey this rule.
YY Arrows: A digit on an arrow indicates how many shaded cells are in the direction of the arrow, including the arrow cell.
YY Cages: Digits in a cage sum to the number in the top-left of the cage and cannot repeat. Within a cage: odd digits are shaded, even digits are unshaded.
Solution code: The unshaded cells in Row 3 (left to right)

What a lovely puzzle! Really nice flow - the grid looks daunting but it's actually quite approachable once you start asking the right questions.
