Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits cannot repeat within a cage. For any two cages that share an edge, the sum of their totals is always the same.

I'm not sure which would be the clearest wording for the main rule. Maybe "The sum of digits in two orthogonally connected cages is always the same"?

I don't think this works out. Could "edge" be a false friend translation error from "ecke", i.e. corner only?
