For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a unique Sudoku variant every week.
Dutch Whisper Sums
Inspiration for this type comes from Flinty. Solve online in Sudokupad.
I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the first N digit(s) from that side. The sum includes all continuously adjacent digits with a difference of at least four.
Example: if a row starts with 1845, the clue is 1+8+4=13, since 5 breaks the chain of differences of at least four.
