Forgot about the consecutive constraint and ended up with a full board of notes, which resolved instantly after i noticed, ouch.
It was a very nice puzzle even for a beginner at variant sudoku!

This was very fun and approachable, but I am grateful for @SanFranSam's comment, because without "normal killer sudoku rules apply" or a full stating of the killer sudoku rules, I would not have assumed that digits cannot repeat within a cage.

I'm a beginner with these types of sudokus, but this felt very approachable. The solve path was clean and satisfying. Thanks!

The only thing i wasn't sure about was that the rules did not explicitly say that numbers do not repeat in cages. OW...
Fair enough...
In my mind these rules have become so standard that unless explicitly stated differently, they are standard. Grts, Jonesy.

I enjoyed the 'short range' scanning that internal non-consecutive rule brought. Thanks!

Cool puzzle! It turns out to be much more approachable once you read (all) the rules. xD
But that is entirely on me. Thank you for the fun challenge, Killer Joe!
