Missing Circles

(Published on 31. July 2026, 15:17 by rmulinix)

Enjoy!: https://sudokupad.app/doieo0xf14

Rules:

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1–9 exactly once in every row, column, and 3×3 box.

MISSING CIRCLES: Find nine missing circles in the grid, one in each row, column, and 3×3 box, each containing a different digit. No cell may contain more than one circle.

CIRCLES: A digit in a circle indicates how many circles contain that digit. This includes the missing circles.

ANTI-KNIGHT: No two cells separated by a chess knight's move (an L-shape of two steps one way and one step perpendicular) can share the same digit.

Same as Wuschel, easy if you remember the anti knight rule.

It's a great compliment to you rmulinix that I didn't by pass this puzzle due to the anti knight constraint as I'm not a fan of that restriction but I am a fan of yours so I thought I'll give this a go. Nice puzzle.

:) I didn't know I had any fans. Thanks for giving it a go. -Rick M.

I love puzzles like this that for the first couple of minutes have me wondering how the heck to approach it, and then once the penny drops, it's actually not all that difficult, and smooth as a calm sea.

Very kind, thank you. -Rick M.

Great puzzle that required some unique logic! Flows smoothly once you figure out the “mainline” constraint. Thanks!
