Japanese Slopes

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Slopes: A digit is "sloped" along its row or column if the digit to one side along that row or column is larger than it is and the digit to the other side is smaller. For example, if a row read 246731985, then the digits 4, 6, 3 and 8 would be sloped.
Japanese Sums:
- Clues outside the grid give the sums of contiguous groups of sloped digits in that row or column, in order.
- ALL rows and columns are fully clued.
- A question mark - ? - in a clue may represent any single digit, but no multi-digit clue may start 0.
- An asterisk - * - represents any number of clues (which may include zero clues) of any size.

Fantastic puzzle! I had to come back to it because I just kept confusing myself with my notation (my mind just kept trying to read it as a normal Japanese sum where a cell is either counted for both row and column or neither) so I had to come back with fresh eyes and just be a bit more systematic. The logic was fantastic and very fun, lots of moments where I think I have no idea where to look next but as soon as I start poking around, something triggers. Would love more with the same ruleset!
