Minimum Maximum

(Published on 27. July 2026, 15:20 by marty_sears)

Inspired by the recent High Bars by Jobo.

    Rules:

    Normal sudoku rules apply.

Most of the grid is obscured with fog. Entering correct digits may clear fog somewhere in the grid.

A digit on a lime green 'minimum line' must be equal to or greater than the number of cells that the line occupies.

A digit on a blue 'maximum line' must be equal to or less than the number of cells that the line occupies.

Lines do not branch, cross each other, or share cells.

Solution code: Column 9 reading downwards

A great constraint idea by Jobo, and a wonderful execution by Marty! The use of fog to obscure the length of the lines is ingenious, and the way that revealing the grid restricts both types of line differently is fascinating.

Very nice ruleset and puzzle!
This puzzle built up nicely, with an easy break-in and gradually getting trickier (but not really difficult).
