Fortress Fillomino - Black Kropki [neg] (9x13)

(Published on 31. July 2026, 16:45 by Christounet)

I am happy to share my first contribution to the series started by ThePedallingPianist. I had the idea of this puzzle after solving this puzzle by yttrio. There will be no doubt some familiar patterns for those who already solved that puzzle.

FORTRESS FILLOMINO:
• Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions and fill each cell with a number (not necessarily single-digit) showing the number of cells in the region to which it belongs.
• Each region must be either strictly larger than all of its orthogonal neighbours or strictly smaller than all of its orthogonal neighbours.

BLACK KROPKI (NEGATIVE CONSTRAINT):
• Numbers in cells separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.
Negative constraint: all possible black dots are given.

Another standout. I really enjoyed both negative constraint puzzles. Several really great steps in this one

So smooth and rewarding once I figured out the indication of this ruleset!

Awesome to see this done with black Kropki dots! Maybe negative XV is up next...

Great to have you on the series, super puzzle with very satisfying deductions right to the end!

Getting started was a bit tricky. But once I remembered the secrets I learned from solving yttrio's puzzle it was quite smooth.

I rate this puzzle at two stars of difficulty. Very nice puzzle.
