Parity Loop Quest #11

(Published yesterday, 13:37 by Vythic)

Play on SudokuPad!

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Parity Pivot Loop: Form a one-cell-wide loop that moves through the grid orthogonally. The loop does not touch itself, not even diagonally. A loop cell is an odd digit if the loop moves straight through it, and is an even digit if the loop does a 90 degree turn at its location.

Loop Region Sum Lines: Every three consecutive cells along a blue line contain exactly one loop cell and two non-loop cells. Box borders split blue lines into segments of equal sum.

Loop Renban Lines: There is exactly one loop cell on each pink line. A pink line contains a consecutive set of digits in any order.

Loop Dots: Cells separated by a black or white dot are either both loop cells, or neither are loop cells. Digits separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio. Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.

Loop Cages: The sum of digits in a cage is equal to how many odd loop cells are in the grid.

Example of a valid loop shape (the white cells inside the loop cannot be cut off from each other, and a 2x2 block of cells cannot all be loop cells):

(Puzzles throughout this series use the same loop rules, and visually identical elements have the same meaning).

This was brilliant. For some reason the loop solved itself intuitively in the first minute or two, and then it was a breathless 48 min solve from there, never too difficult, just straight fun all the way through! Would def rate it no more than 3 stars for difficulty tho, give it a try! And thank you/kudos, Vythic!

I've been enjoying this series a lot, thanks! I like how the lines and dots force the loop and usually the sudoku part in the end goes rather smoothly. This time I was able to draw most of the loop quickly but had to work hard for each digit until it eventually collapsed.
