It looks like several of you found a cleaner solve path than I intended for this puzzle. Thank you for taking the time to explain your solve paths and methods. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future puzzles and ratings.

Agree, 1*, no trial and error required, not sure why the setter implied this when using a different solve path than their intended one.

You are right. I may have underestimated the limitations of the 6×6 grid. I intended the final digits to be resolved through a nifty X-Wing followed by a double Y-Wing, but I overlooked that there cold be other paths, also through trail and error.
