Coloured sudoku. Mixed rules. Link to puzzle.
sudokupad.
There is a video solution and more puzzles on youtube channel "sudoku spot"

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Cells separated by a white dot are consecutive numbers.
Cells of the same colour are the same value.
Cages are Psycho look-and-say cages. Rules for these are as follows.
Numbers in the top corner of the cages are look-and-say values telling how many of these numbers are in the pointed cells. For e.g. 38 ( 3 8's) would mean 3 of the cells in the cage point to an 8.
Numbers in cages point to a 3x3 box number....so a number 5 would point to box number 5, number 8 points to box number 8 e.t.c.
Go to that box number and find the same position as the number in the cage. This is where the look-and-say numbers must be.
There is a video explanation of psycho look-and-say cages on youtube channel "sudoku spot" if you dont understand the written explanation.

Not sure if there was a trick to the psycho lool-and-say. For my solve it felt more like trial and error...

My first experience of Psycho look-and-say cages. I like how you introduce so many different concepts.
Reply...is a brilliant rule I think. Came across it on a puzzle on this site. Have made a couple of sudokus using it.
You have mistakenly written Fog of war sudoku at the top of this page when there is none.
Reply..oops...thanks
