Bunny Hop 1
(Published on 16. June 2026, 04:33 by louisng114)
You can play the puzzle on the CtC app
HERE.
Hop the bunny is being chased by a big bad wolf! Help Hop avoid danger and return home!
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply.
BUNNY HOP:
Hop the bunny must reach the hole by visiting a series of cells. Hop jumps orthogonally by a number of cells exactly equal to the digit Hop is currently on. For example, if Hop jumped to R2C2, and R2C2 contains a 3, then Hop has to jump to R2C5 or R5C2. Hop does not land on the same cell twice.
BLACKCURRANTS:
Cells connected by a blackcurrant have a 1:2 ratio (one is double the other). Not all possible blackcurrants are necessarily given.
PATH OF SAFETY:
On this escape route, the cells Hop jumps from and jumps to must sum to a prime number.
Solution code: The digits on the cells Hop landed on in the order of the path. For clarity, the cells jumped over are not counted. Also, the first Hop cell and the last hole cell are included.

I got caught up trying too hard to precisely follow the rules through the path of safety, and totally forgot to just do a little bit of sudoku. After the sudoku, it was a breeze!

Lovely!

For clarity, the "Path of Safety" rule refers to the sums of each individual jump, not the path as a whole. So 2-3-4 is a valid path, since (2+3) and (3+4) are prime.

The solution check for the SudokuPad link has been fixed.

Answer checker on CTC seems wrong, but the puzzle is logical, solvable, and the solution code here is right, so anyone who thinks they got a solution should just try it, even if the CTC app doesn't say congrats.
Once I realized I made a stupid faulty assumption about Hop's path, it all flowed quite nicely!

The solution checking is wrong for the dots in box 2.
