Negative Space

In keeping with my recent plan of alternating a new puzzle with an older unpublished one, here is a simple killer I made for a Bremster pack a few years back. It's pretty straightforward and was intended to showcase some simple killer techniques - the clue is in the name! Please enjoy.
The Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Digits in a cage must sum to the total in the top left corner of the cage. Digits may not repeat in a cage.

there IS a level 1 solution, but it is hard to find, because it is very narrow, and happens mostly in the virtual spaces
