For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a unique Sudoku variant every week.
Lunchbox
Inspiration for this type comes from Undar_Beyond.
Solve online in Sudokupad.
I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Each cage contains a line. The number on the top left of each cage indicates the sum of the digits sandwiched between the smallest digit and the largest digit on the line in its cage. Digits may not be repeated in cages.

Even though there was nothing overly complicated here, it still took me 4 attempts and 6 hours of my life. Time well spent though!
