Lonely Fives

(Published on 5. June 2026, 05:55 by Scojo)

Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
  • Anti-Queen Fives: No 5 in the grid may be a chess queen's move away from another 5.
  • Tentropy Lines: Every set of 4 adjacent digits on a hollow peach line must contain a digit from each of the X-pair (ten-pair) subsets of {1,9}, {2,8}, {3,7}, and {4,6}. A 5 may not appear on a Tentropy Line.
  • Kropki: A white dot between two digits indicates that those digits are consecutive. A black dot between two digits indicates that one digit is double the other.

I made this puzzle incredibly hard on myself. I solved it using anti king on the 5 and only realised my mistake when I couldn't resolve the final deadly pattern... 3 hours in the end and I thought that break in was 5* hard. But of course I didn't read the rules properly!

Brilliant puzzle! From placing the 5's to coloring and disambiguating, it was all excellent. Thanks

I loved how quickly it all falls together once you break in. Great puzzle, thanks Scojo

Great colouring exercise. Very well done.
I don't know how I manage to completly misread the rules, but in first instance I played with 1/6, 2/7, 3/8 and 4/9 pairs (non nul modulo 5 pairs). And magically it also gives a unique solution. Give it a try, just for the fun.

lovely puzzle! I made things rather more difficult for myself with the coloring, but once I worked out the solve path it just all flowed wonderfully together
