For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a unique Sudoku variant every week.
Stardust
Inspiration for this type comes from RedBarchetta.
Solve online in Sudokupad.
I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.
Apply classic sudoku rules.
The digit in a circle indicates the sum of all the digits on (each of) the attached arrow(s). On each arrow, digits decrease or stay the same when moving further away from the circle.
Solution code: Row 9

Lol I read the rules and thought hmm I think I have played a puzzle like that before, completing forgetting I had made a puzzle like that before. A nice blast from the past! Excellent setting and great logic using the slow thermo. Thanks!!

Ooh, don't think I'd seen this as a slow-thermo variant before! On a false start, I'd actually forgotten that they're not "normal" thermo arrows, and got stuck due to that assumption. Luckily, the runback didn't take very long, and I really enjoyed the path to solving this :D

Nice! Probably a 2* puzzle at most.

Thank you very much for creating and sharing another wonderful SVS-puzzle. Amazing how these thermo arrows work.
