Pythagorean Triples

(Published on 27. May 2026, 16:34 by Emgac)

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Pythagorean triples: Each of the triangles in the grid is a right angled triangle, with the right angle being marked in red. The sum of the digits along each side of every triangle is its "side value". Each triangle must have side values that are a Pythagorean triple (Values of a, b, and c, where a and b are at right angles, and a^2 + b^2 = c^2). Digits in the corners contribute to the side values for both sides that meet at that corner.
  • Consecutive pairs: Digits seperated by a white dot are consecutive.

Interesting idea. I started strong by thinking through options for small triangles and made some good progress. Large triangle options were suprisingly limited, but not quite convinced I tried everything, but went with the 1 option I had and it worked out.
