Perhaps a clarification about the box rule would make the rules better.
The row and column of a cell are global attributes and so is the BOX NUMBER. So my first interpretation of the rules was that a golden cell could contain its box number. This approach quickly lead to a broken puzzle (because of Boxes 6 and 7) so I re-read the rules and finally figured out what was asked. Since the last property is a local(relative) property, I believe making a distinction is warranted.
I would say instead: A golden cell contains at least one of the following attributes:
1)Its row number
2)Its column number
3)Its relative position within its box when the cells of each box are numbered in reading order.

Very nice, deserves a much higher rating. Clever and enjoyable, but still easy. Thanks

Not sure why the low rating, but it's a very clean breakin and relatively easy solve.

Very nice but took a while to get going then it pretty much collapsed quite quickly in the end - 49 minutes.
