Threes See

(Published yesterday, 07:29 by mellowrobinson)

Normal Sudoku rules apply:

  • Place the digits 1-9 once each into every row, column, and 3x3 box.

Cage Chaos:
  • Locate six killer cages in the grid, each consisting of six orthogonally connected cells, and each containing the digits 1-6 without repeats.
  • Cages do not touch orthogonally, but may touch diagonally.

Japanese Sums:
  • A number outside the grid gives the sum of a contiguous set of cells which are in a killer cage.
  • Such sets must be separated by at least one uncaged cell.
  • In a row or column with a clue, all contiguous sets are given, in the correct order.
  • "?" represents any digit that is a multiple of 3.
  • "??" represents any two digit number that is a multiple of 3.
  • "*" represents any number of sets, including none; which may or may not sum to a multiple of 3.
Threes See:
  • Every digit 3 inside a Killer cage 'sees' three cells from its cage, including itself, where uncaged cells and the edge of the grid blocks sight.
