Cross Whispers in the Knight
(Published on 3. July 2026, 00:03 by AaronH)
Rules
Normal sudoku rules apply: fill the grid with digits 1–9 so that no digit repeats in any row, column, or 3×3 box.
All variant clues follow their standard meanings; full descriptions are provided below.
- Anti‑Knight: Cells a knight’s move apart (as in chess) may not contain the same digit. The Anti-knight icon is a reminder for this rule and has no special meaning for the cell it is located in.
- X Sums: An X between orthogonally adjacent cells indicates the digits sum to 10.
- Killer cages: Digits in cages must sum to the value shown in the top corner
- German Whispers: Along a green line, adjacent digits differ by at least 5.
- Dutch Whispers: Along a orange line, adjacent digits differ by at least 4.

Very nice and approachable. I would probably rate it just a single star, but it's probably in border territory.
I would however say it falls apart relatively quickly and half of it is just filling out numbers with little challenge left.

My first solve of a 2-star puzzle. I'll always remember it fondly.
