Since we’re used to being tortured by 18 digit solution codes, there are many who can’t imagine it really is only a single digit. So I’d write „the digit in r1c1“, since your amendment is now likely to trigger 18 digit attempts with.

Very cute and nice solve. Personally more of a one star puzzle for me, as there was no difficult break in and the puzzle itself just flowed very nicely :)
