It's a foggy day in the village and you are a horrible goose! You are going for your most prized trophy - the church bell from the model village! But the villagers are now wise to your shenanigans and are trying to catch you...
This is the sequel to my previous puzzle Untitled Goose Game, but it is not necessary to know anything about the prior puzzle in order to do this one!
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Placing correct digits may clear fog on themselves or somewhere else in the grid, but need not. No guessing is required.
Each villager contains a different digit. Each counts the cells it sees which are strictly less than itself (so not including itself!) in the four cardinal directions combined, until line-of-sight is blocked in each direction by a digit larger than that of the villager.
The villagers have positioned traps to try to catch you! Each trap will be triggered if you step on the largest of the (up to four) digits surrounding it.
Trees separate cells in a 1:2 ratio. Not all trees are given.
You must draw a one-cell-wide path starting at the goose, finding the bell and ending back at the village pond. The path moves orthogonally; it may never touch itself, not even diagonally; it must never enter a cell seen or occupied by a villager; it must never enter a cell which triggers a trap.

The removal of the fog will suddenly give a correct hint if the two-choice hypothesis is tried on the way. I have an idea to set up some wrong ways to open the fog (which will lead to no solution), to confuse the players.
