"Please relax, you are perfectly safe."
"But that's not the point!" raged Ford. "The point is that I am now a perfectly safe penguin, and my colleague here is rapidly running out of limbs!"
"Welcome," the voice said, "to the Starship Heart of Gold." - The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Rules
Normal sudoku rules apply: fill the grid with digits 1–9 so that no digit repeats in any row, column, or 3×3 box.
- Infinite Improbability Cells (Modifier Cells): In each row, column, and 3×3 box there is exactly one gold Infinite Improbability cell, to be placed by the solver. Each Infinite Improbability cell contains a different digit. Each Infinite Improbability cell takes its value from an Improbable Object cell located in the same 3×3 box, rather than from the digit placed in the cell.
- Improbable Objects: There are nine Improbable Objects that have been placed in the grid, indicating digits that are used as values for Infinite Improbability cells. Multiple Improbable Objects may appear in the same row or column, and no restrictions exist on distinct digits. An Improbable Object cell is never a gold Infinite Improbability cell.
All variant clues follow their standard meanings on values; full descriptions are provided below.
- Dynamic Fog: The grid is covered with fog; entering correct digits may clear fog elsewhere, and no guessing is required. Any lines or markings continue and connect beneath fog. Unless revealed, no additional clues should be assumed to exist under the fog.
- Kropki Dots: A black dot indicates one value is exactly double the other.
- German Whispers: Along a green line, adjacent values differ by at least 5.
- V Sums: A V indicates the values sum to 5.
- Slow Thermometer: Along a grey thermometer, values must not decrease when moving from the bulb to the tip.
- Nabner Line: A yellow line cannot contain two values anywhere on the line that are consecutive or equal.
- Killer Cages: Values in a cage must sum to the number shown in the corner. Values may repeat, digits may not.
- Quadruple Circles: Each value shown in the circle must appear at least once among the four cells it is touching.
- Arrows: The values along an arrow must sum to the number in the corresponding pill. Values may repeat if allowed by other sudoku rules. Two-cell 'pills' are read from left to right.
- Counting Circles: A value inside a circle indicates how many times that value appears among all circled cells.
- Don’t Panic!: No guessing is required - you are one hoopy frood.

Amazing twist on the concept from the previous puzzles, and amazing series as a whole as well!
