To solve Cubists you must download and simultaneously solve Cubist 1 and Cubist 2 (apologies to mobile phone solvers)

Each row and each column in both grids must contain the digits 1-8. Digits MAY repeat in 4x2 boxes so turn off conflict checker.

Puzzle is made up of 128 cubes each with a digit inside.

Cubist 1 is the top layer and Cubist 2 is the bottom layer. The individual cubes are arranged in 16 larger 2x2x2 cubes each of which must contain the digits 1-8.

The orange line is a single whisper line that moves to adjacent individual cubes (the line can only move between layers through cells that share a face). Each adjacent digit along the line must have a difference of at least four.

The black dots show a ratio of 1:2 . Black dots in cell centre show ratio berween layers. Not all dots are given.

This is a training Sudoku for the upcoming Sudoku Supercube which has 512 digits. Watch this space!
