Fortress Fillomino - XV Pairs (8x8)

(Published on 17. April 2026, 16:45 by yttrio)

This is my second contribution to the series started by ThePedallingPianist.

click image to play this week's Fortress Fillomino

FORTRESS FILLOMINO:
• Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions and fill each cell with a number (not necessarily single-digit) showing the number of cells in the region to which it belongs;
• Each region must be either strictly larger than all of its orthogonal neighbours or strictly smaller than all of its orthogonal neighbours.

XV PAIRS:
• Cells separated by an X sum to 10
• Cells separated by a V sum to 5
• Not all possible Xs and Vs are necessarily given

Looks really hard at the first glance, but turns out quite easy in the end, once you figure out the patterns. And with a nice moment to feel clever when you figure it out halfway.

I have been binging all the FFF puzzles, so I can't remember unfortunately what specifically I liked about this one, but rest assured I adore them all
