Odd Divisors? (6x6)

(Published on 10. April 2026, 17:26 by Dr Logic)

It has been quite a while since I last set a puzzle but a combination of an interesting rule and wanting to do anything but write my dissertation has led to this. This is a 6x6 trial puzzle for the 9x9 version. If a sufficient number of people like this rule and want a 9x9 puzzle please let me know (via comments)!!!

Apologies on the potentially inaccurate difficulty rating I've always been bad at grading things. Let me know (again via the comments) if you found it particularly difficult or easy and what parts you did/didn't like!

Happy Solving!

Rules:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits along a pink 'divisor' line must be read from one end only and obey the following condition: 'Digits cannot repeat and each subsequent digit after the initial digit must wholly divide the sum of all the previous digits on the line. (e.g 3-1-4 string read left to right as 1 wholly divides 3 and 4 wholly divides 1+3.'

Digits separated by a black dot are in 1:2 ratio.

Please leave a comment on your thoughts.

Hope you Enjoy!

Seems impossible without making any notes. But after you wrote all possible threads down and found the patterns, it fills itself.
For me, this is the best kind of puzzles, where you have to invent solving tactics. It was pleasure, thanks!
