(Published on 4. April 2026, 00:00 by edd)

Rules:

Box 1: The kitchen has spoons that are represented by Thermometers. Digits must increase along the spoon, starting from the bulb.

Box 2: The ballroom has a pink disco ball. The pink line around the ball is a Renban line. The digits on the line must form a set of consecutive digits, in any order. The ball is a maximum cell, which must have a digit greater than all its orthogonal neighbours.

Box 3: The conservatory has nice window frame represented by a cage. The digits in the cage must add to the number in the top left corner, in this case, 38.

Box 4: The dining room has an orange chair which is a Dutch Whisper line. Adjacent digits along the line must have a difference of at least 4. The person sitting on the chair is represented by an arrow. Digits along the arrow must add up to the digit in the attached circle. Note there is also a spoon in the dining room.

Box 5: The light in the very centre of the house is represented by a Friendly cell. The digit in it must equal its row, column or box number. However, three murders have taken place represented by X's. Digits joined by an X add to 10.

Box 6: The library is represented by a book. The left side of the book is a Modular line. Every set of three digits along the line must have a (1,4,7), a (2,5,8) and a (3,6,9). The right side of the book is an Entropic line. Every set of three digits along the line must have a (1,2,3), a (4,5,6) and a (7,8,9). The spine is both Modular and Entropic.

Box 7: The lounge has a green recliner which is a German Whisper line. Adjacent digits along the line must have a difference of at least 5. The person lying on the chair is represented by an arrow. Digits along the arrow must add up to the digit in the attached circle.

Box 8: The hall has a red carpet which are column indexers. The digit in the cell indicates which column contains the 5 in that row. Along the sides are red tapestries which are Parity lines. Digits along the line must alternate parity.

Box 9: The study has a small collection of instruments. The black dot separates digits in a 1:2 ratio. The white dot separates consecutive digits. The V separates digits that add to 5.

The secret passage between the kitchen and the study, and the other secret passage between the conservatory and lounge, are represented by clones. The grey squares in the kitchen and the study share the same digit. The grey squares in the conservatory and lounge share the same digit.

Note: The white dots also represent some light shining from the ballroom into the kitchen and conservatory.
