Sometimes a draft needs to marinate a little while before I feel comfortable publishing it - does anyone else run into this?

Never saw a lockout ring. That was funny to solve. Thank you very much for creating and sharing this lovely puzzle.

I initially made the same mistake as sfield, treating the lockout lines as between lines. Out of curiosity I dropped that version into SudokuMaker and found a unique solve possible with just adding a couple more black dots. Was neat that using the wrong rules wasn't way more broken.

I made the mistake of trying to solve it with between lines instead of lockout lines. Probably a couple of minor rules away from being uniquely solvable that way. But much harder.

Nice interactions between the lines. 2* for me, thanks for sharing!

That was a nice flow to the solve, a great mix of constraints.
