Nurikabe Puzzle Pack
XII : Treasure Map
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Divide the grid into a number of islands -- orthogonally connected groups of cells. Every island contains a single circled cell; the digit in the circle indicates the number of cells making up the island.
The islands are surrounded by a waterway -- a single orthogonally connected group of cells. All caged cells are waterway cells; the digit in a caged cell indicates how many waterway cells are seen orthogonally from that position, including itself (island cells block vision). The waterway cannot form any 2x2 areas.
The X's separate two island digits that sum to 10; The white dot separates two island digits that are consecutive.

Oof, that was really challenging (for me anyways)... Really enjoyed it tho!

I completed the numbers correctly but are there two solutions to the colouring in box 9, or did I go wrong somewhere?
Edit: Turns out I didn't fully parse the rules which can be clarified as "digits separated by an X or white dot are island". Leaving this up in case this helps anyone. Great puzzle! Might've been easier if I realised that sooner.

Is this the last of the Nurikabe series? I've been solving them with my 10 yrs old and these are his favorite puzzles.

Well, I was having a great time until I broke it and cannot figure out what I did wrong. Perhaps another time.
