Two Truths And A Region (FoW)

(Published on 3. March 2026, 17:54 by gdc)

I had the idea of combining "regional constraints" with "two truths and a lie" for a while. Recently Scojo issued a setting challenge where this seemed like a perfect fit. According to testers (thanks everyone!) it should be 4-5 stars for difficulty. Special thanks to ChinStrap for testing it on stream. Hope you enjoy!

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Dynamic Fog hides some clues. Placing a correct digit clears fog from its cell and possibly other cells.
Two Truths And A Lie: For each clue type listed below, there are three clues of that type in the grid which don't share cells. Two of them are correct, and one is incorrect ("lying").
Regional Constraints: For each clue type, all cells clued by that type (incl. the liar) contain different digits.
Clue Types: Cages, V, arrows, double arrows, renban, and black kropki (no negative constraints, details in the link).

A summary of the global constraints: The first five all violate a rule. The last one is allowed.

Tested this before it went on LMG. Absolutely loved it. What gem, and what a genius setting. Very hard. But every single step is so fair and beautiful once you spot them. Thanks

Absolutely loved this one. It is hard yes but the fog keeps the questions focused so every step of the way you aren't feeling lost. The logic was fun fresh and tons of beautiful steps.

An instant classic from gdc, a lot to unpack while feeling fair the entire way through the solve. It's exactly what I wanted it to be and then some.
