Rules:

Place the digits 1-9 once each into every row, column, and box.

The grid is partially covered in fog. Correctly placed digits will clear fog.

Digits surrounded by a cage do not repeat, and sum to the given total.

Specified that this is an April Fools puzzle, and hid one cage until a few digits are placed to prevent softlocks.

PUZZLE SPOILERS:

there are two nonstandard usages here.
1) the "sum in the upper left corner of a cage" is NOT in use. that's fine, because it is NOT stated in the rules.

and there's more stuff like that.

unfortunately, the bottom line is that the claim "guessing not needed" is FALSE

2) cage boundaries VIOLATE standards. you will see how this works. that SHOULD be stated in the rules.

FIT7Y:
There is a certain experience that I aimed for with this puzzle, and explaining the violations up front would ruin that experience. Though I do accept that I used "no guessing required" extremely loosely.
