See also thepedallingpianist's puzzle. We agreed on setting something for this date together, but independently came up with similar rulesets to use. Fortunately there were two such dates only a month apart!


FORTRESS FILLOMINO:
• Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions and fill each cell with a number (not necessarily single-digit) showing the number of cells in the region to which it belongs;
• Each region must be either strictly larger than all of its orthogonal neighbours or strictly smaller than all of its orthogonal neighbours.

LITTLE KILLERS:
• Numbers on an indicated diagonal sum to the number attached to the arrow

X-SUMS:
• A number outside a row (with no arrow) gives the sum of the first X numbers in the row from that direction, where X is the first number (i.e. next to the clue)

N.B. Double-digit numbers need not be entered for solution check.
