Agent Renban, you have green light to infiltrate the compound and capture Professor Yes.
Our scouting troop has left breadcrumbs in the underground tunnels, so you should have no trouble finding your way to the Professor's hiding place. Along the way, open the trap doors so the hostages can escape. The scouts have left notes next to those locations.
Be careful! The tunnels are heavily booby-trapped with explosives. Make sure to enter the disarming code on the keypad before crossing any such traps. We'll leave the code at your drop-off location. Also be careful not to fall into any of the shark pools that the Professor has installed in the tunnels.
Oh, and be prepared: The Professor will expect your arrival, because he has equipped the tunnels with laser detectors. Good luck!
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Path: Your first stop is in row 7, column 9, facing west. The digit on each stop of your path indicates how many steps you have to go to your next stop, in the direction you're facing. Once you reach the next stop, turn right 90 degrees, then continue walking and turning in the same fashion, until you reach the 9 in column 9. No digit appears more than once on a stop.
Booby traps: Do not walk on an 8 before you have entered the code to disarm the booby traps.
Disarm code: The first three digits of your path (including the start field) are the code to disarm the booby traps. You must walk across the same digits (in a row, in the same order) for a second time to disarm the traps.
Keypad: The first time you see a 5 directly on your right (relative to your walking direction), the next three cells are where you walk across that code to disarm the traps.
Breadcrumbs: On any path segment that has two or more cells between stops (i.e. makes three or more steps), these in-between cells must include two adjacent digits that sum to 10.
Shark pools: The path may not cross a cell with a shark.
Hostages: Whenever you walk on a 2, there is a 1 directly to your right (relative to your walking direction). If the 2 is on a stop, then there is a 1 to your right both before and after making your turn.
Laser scanners: The digit on a laser indicates how many cells of the path are in the laser's row (if the laser beam is horizontal) or column (if it's vertical). If applicable, this includes the laser cell itself, and includes the start and end of the path.
Here is the beginning of an example path that also shows the hostages (1s) to the right of the 2 in both walking directions, as well as the keypad (5) that marks where to enter the code. This path may or may not be valid in the actual puzzle.
