Edit: the full 9x9 sudoku is also now published, you can play it here but note it is very hard:
Rules:
Sudoku: Fill the grid with digits 1–5 so that each digit appears exactly once in every row and column.
Regions: Divide the grid into regions of orthogonally connected cells such that every cell belongs to a region. Each region contains exactly one circle. The digit in a circle gives the size of its region. Digits may not repeat within a region.
If a circle contains digit n then exactly n-1 orthogonally adjacent regions (regions sharing an edge) must be smaller in size than that region.

Any feedback is welcomed!
Solution code: Digits in odd-sized regions in row 4 from left to right.

Judging from this puzzle, the bigger version is beyond my capabilities. This one was pretty nice, though! Maybe I'll give the example puzzles of the rest of the series a shot.

I don't know about having a somewhat convoluted rule just to disambiguate the last two regions. I guess in the larger size puzzles it makes sense

The harder long ones are beyond my ability/concentration span so love it when creators create mini playable examples that I can join in the fun. Thanks.

I usually don't try 1 star puzzles, but as a setup puzzle I did. Weird ruleset, can't wait for the big one, thanks!
