Choose Your Fighter (Between Lines or Double Arrows)

(Published on 18. February 2026, 23:57 by damo_89)

A setting challenge for myself, this puzzle can be solved with the lines either acting as between lines or double arrows (the solution is different for both puzzles). I have ideas for a 9x9 but looking to gauge interest in such an idea. Good luck!

  • Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1 to 6 once each in every row, column, and 3x2 box
  • Then, either:
    • Between Lines: Digits along a grey line must be strictly between the digits in the two connected circles; or
    • Double Arrows: Digits along a grey line sum to the same as the sum of the digits in the two connected circles

Absolutely ridiculous how good this was, both puzzles are already exceptionally beautiful and the fact it functions both ways is just wonderful! Amazing puzzle!

Oh, that's neat! Double arrows was a little more interesting for me, since I had to keep cycling around the loop to gradually eliminate options, whereas between lines had a neat break-in and then fell into place immediately afterwards.

The between lines version was super easy, took me less than 2 minutes. The other was slightly trickier. I enjoyed both.

Nice and smooth. A 9 x 9 along these lines would certainly be of interest!

Very smooth. I liked how the solve paths felt quite different between the puzzles.
