INdeed a nice puzzle, but the toroid thing makes for a very easy solve (usually you get "a niceness reduction" in points for coloured boxes...)
I too would like an uncoloured version, or say would have liked, since I knew the trick and it was essentially a fill in excercise and as that [and because I think the low rating is NOT deserved...] 5* rating!
It IS a beautiful puzzle.
I'd say 2* difficulty for people who haven't solved a toroid yet (because the pattern emerges rather quikly anyways)

Its a nice puzzle, though It would help more to have no colors in the solve
>> In SudokuPad you can go to Settings>Visual>Hide Colours

i just do not understand the ratings.
1) this definitely deserves a 90%+.
is everyone here a flat earther, and cannot handle 3-dimensional surfaces?
2) non-experts can definitely solve this, with effort, so it qualifies as level 2.
the important thing to recognize is that there is EXACTLY ONE PATTERN, and that means, for EACH digit, exactly one pattern. therefore, you can pick ONE digit, and track it through the entire grid, and then step through each digit, and there is never any ambiguity.
strongly recommend to "turn colours off" when solving.

Amazing puzzle! Hit several snags but it was totally worth pushing through each time.

Das war super schwer, aber die Logik dahinter ist einfach brilliant.
