InTENtions UnkNown

(Published yesterday, 03:46 by Calvinball)

I've been meaning to play with Tentropy and Up to N for awhile now and this is the result, this was a fun one for me to set, I hope you enjoy it too!

If you have any questions feel free to DM me on Discord.

Happy solving!

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9 once in every row, column, and box.
  • Up to N-sums: A clue outside the Row or Column N indicates the sum of all digits up to the cell that contains the digit N. (The digit N itself is not included in the sum.)
  • Some clues outside the grid aren't fully given, any square is representing an even number, any circle is representing an odd number. In some cases the tens digit has been given, a clue without a given tens digit may be single digit or may be double digits. Any clue that is purely numerical is fully given.
  • Tentropy Lines: Every set of 4 adjacent digits on a peach line must contain a digit from each of the X-pair (ten-pair) subsets of {1,9}, {2,8}, {3,7}, and {4,6}. A 5 may not appear on a tentropy line. For lines less than length 4, all digits must be from different subsets. Digits on a line may repeat if allowed by other rules.
  • Solve on Sudokupad.

Really interesting puzzle. Hard to decide on the difficulty, it's a pretty approachable 4* but would be a challenging 3*.

Very Nice but (imo) closer to 4*. Nice interactions between the ten lines.
