Elevators

(Published on 22. January 2026, 11:06 by Fizz)

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Place the digits from 1-9 in each row, column and 3x3 box.
German Whispers: Adjacent digits (or values) along a green German whisper line must have a difference of at least 5.
Renban: Digits along a magenta renban line form a set of consecutive non-repeating digits in any order.
Nabner: Digits (or values) along an orange nabner line cannot repeat and cannot be consecutive.
Kropki: Digits with a white dot in between are consecutive. Digits with a black dot in between are in a ratio of 1:2.
Minimum: The digit in a minimum cell must be smaller than the orthogonal digits (or values).
Fog: At some time, correctly placed digits reveal the fog.
Elevators: A digit stepping into the elevator at the bottom raises its value by 1 with each floor. When it comes out at the top, the value of the digit on top of the elevator equals the digit at the bottom plus the number of floors it climbed. For example, if a 3 stepped into the elevator at the bottom and the elevator climbed 3 floors, the value on top of the elevator is 6 (climbing 3 floors means, the shaft is 2 cells high with the entrance below and the exit on top). The digits in between floors along the elevator shaft, as well as the entry ways, are unaffected. All numbers and values can only be a number/value between 1 and 9.

Sudokupad

In the following picture, the number 5 has a value of 6, because the number 3 climbed exactly 3 floors.

Solution code: Row 9 from left to right (9 digits)

Oh gosh I'm sorry guys, I totally did not take into account that there might be a possibility of values being more than 9. I was totally in my own head and did not think out of the box, like you did.
I added this info into the description, hopefully the puzzle makes more sense now. I'm very sorry for any frustrations or inconveniences!
I hope you still have fun solving the puzzle, further feedback is very apprechiated :)

Kommentar hinzugefügt, dass Ziffern bzw. Werte nur die Werte/Ziffern zwischen 1-9 annehmen können.

Added the comment, that values/numbers can only be between 1-9.

Not specifying that the values cannot exceed 9 wasted 2 hours of my life. Otherwise nice puzzle. Please get rules checked in future before posting.

Important note: values only can take values 1-9. Otherwise the puzzle's break in isn't working.
