Loopy Projection
(Published on 17. January 2026, 08:33 by henter)
9x9 with the
Projection constraint.
Rules
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Draw a one-cell-wide loop of orthogonally connected cells. The loop may not touch itself, not even diagonally.
- A circle is on the loop and its digit indicates the total number of loop cells in its box.
- A diamond is not on the loop and its digit indicates the total number of loop cells in its box.
- Projection: Each individual loop segment in box N sums to N times the digit in the Nth cell in box 5 (e.g. if r5c4 is 3, then each loop segment in box 4 sums to 4*3).
Enjoy and thanks in advance for ratings and comments!
Solution code: Column 8 with a dash (-) to represent borders between loop and non-loop cells

Interesting, fresh ruleset which lead to interesting interactions between box 5 and the rest of the grid. Thanks for sharing.
