Lil Loco Puzzle 1 The Euro

(Published on 14. February 2026, 14:17 by RailMan)

This is the first puzzle designed by my 10yo daughter 'Little Loco'. We hope you enjoy it. Kind words for a young setter are always appreciated.

Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 - 6 once in every row, column and box.

Parity lines: Digits on the red lines must alternate between odd and even.

XV: Digits separated by an X must sum to 10. Digits separated by a V must sum to 5.

A beautiful puzzle!

A suggestion for Little Loco is to be a little clearer with the markings. The "1" shows in four cells but the parity rule only applies to the cells that are in column 3 on the "1".

I look forward to doing more of their puzzles!

RailMan: Thank you for solving it and the feedback. R3C2 is connected to R3C3 and does follow the parity rules.

achambers2010: OMG, you're right, sorry about that!

RailMan: No problem. We will try to make our lines clearer in future.

Very nice. I like the idea that the theme of the puzzle is the reward for the original setter every time the puzzle gets solved.

RailMan: Oh, how I wish it were so... but we do it just for fun and to learn logic and creativity. Also, Rose's Apple Tree has been solved 1800+ times and that is way outside the pocket money budget!
