What's the Sequency, Kenneth?

(Published on 19. December 2025, 16:23 by WEBthe3rd)

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Dynamic fog - The grid is covered in fog. A correctly placed digit will clear any fog in that cell, and potentially in other cells as well. No guessing is required.

Sequence lines - Dark gray lines contain an ordered set of digits with a constant difference between adjacent cells, i.e., 1-2-3, 2-5-8 or 3-3-3, but not 1-3-2.

Palindromes - Light gray lines contain digits that read the same in either direction.

German whispers - Light green lines contain digits that must differ by at least 5 from their neighbors on the line.

Parity lines - Red lines contain digits that alternate even and odd along the line.

3-modular lines - Teal lines contain one each from the sets (147) (258) and (369) for every sequence of three consecutive digits.

Region sum lines - Blue lines are split by the region boundaries into segments that have the same sum.

Kropki dots - Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive, and not all dots are given.

I loved this puzzle!

I really enjoy puzzles where you end up colouring the whole grid, but colourblindness makes it challenging.

I created a custom pallet for myself, which helps a lot, but it gets tricky in fog puzzles, because then there's 18 different shades instead of 9.

I always appreciate when setters label the lines, so thanks!

Overall the puzzle is nice. I was confused on the coloring on the lines between modular and region sum lines, as it turned out one blue is a region sum lines, which makes the puzzle a unique solution.

Improved the colorblind version, replacing some lines with symbols to reduce clutter.

Very nice! Though I also got mixed up on colors. Region sums are blue, modular lines are light blue :)

This is great, give it a go, keep an eye on the colours of the lines and you will be fine

It's really helpful for us colorblind folks when setters put letters near lines so we can see (RB, GW, RSL, etc.)

Very nice and easy. Smooth.

Tweaked the coloring of the 3-modular line based on feedback in the comments.

Brilliant. Giving this the highest rating was automatic for this person.

Incredible flow and logic! I would rate 6/5 if I could. My only concern is I would have gone with a slightly more teal color for the modulo 3 line, as I found it somewhat hard to decipher from to the whispers lines.
